De-a lungul carierei sale, Harrison Ford a devenit unul dintre cei mai apreciati actori, si aceasta intr-un mod popular, ai timpurilor noastre.

Munca sa include 38 de filme, unsprezece dintre care au depasit fiecare pragul de o suta de milioane de dolari profitul. Prin intermediul rolurilor sale in realizari cinematografice de un succes rasunator se numara trilogiile Star Wars si Indiana Jones, The Fugitive, Air Force One si Patriot Games, el a reusit sa reprezinte chintesenta eroului american pentru toti cei din toata lumea care sunt pasionati de filme.

Nominalizat la Premiul Oscar si la Premiul Globul de Aur pentru interpretarea sa din thriller-ul de suspans Witness (1985), Ford de asemenea a primit nominalizari la Globul de Aur pentru rolurile principale avute in filmele Sabrina (1995), The Fugitive (1993) si The Mosquito Coast (1986). The National Association of Theater Owners l-au numit Starul Secolului in anul 1994. Revista People la desemnat „Cel Mai Sexy Barbat in Viata” in anul 1998, si in acelasi an, el acastigat Premiul People’s Choice Award pentru Actorul Favorit Intr-un Film. In anul 1999, el a castigat Premiul People’s Choice Award pentru Starul Favorit al Tuturor Timpurilor si, din nou in anul 2000 el l-au desemnat Actorul Favorit Intr-un Film. De asemenea in anul 2000, el a primit prestigiosul Premiu Pentru Intreaga Cariera din parte Institutului American de Film. In anul 2002, Golden Globes l-a onorat cu Premiul Cecil B. DeMille Pentru Intreaga Cariera.

Nascut in Chicago, Ford a urmat Colegiul Ripon in Wisconsin inainte de a se muta in Los Angeles pentru a-si urma cariera de actor. El a inceput ca actor cu contract cu Columbia Pictures, facandu-si debutul in film in drama Dead Heat on a Merry-Go-Round (1966) . Dupa un mic rol in filmul Getting Straight (1970), a reusit sa nu isi mai lase alegerile pentru rolurile din cariera sa fie dicatate de probleme financiare, asa ca s-a intors la tamplarie in timp ce astepta rolul potrivit.

In 1973, dupa o absenta de trei de pe marele ecrane, George Lucas l-a distribuit in filmul American Graffiti. Anul urmator, a primit un rol secundar proeminent in filmul lui Francis Ford Coppola The Conversation, care a fost urmat de un rol important in productia de televiziune a lui Stanley Kramer Judgement: The Court Martila of Lt. William Calley.

Ford s-a reintors la filmele de pe marele ecrane in anul 1977 cand George Lucas l-a distribuit in rolul pilotului rebel Han Solo din filmul Star Wars, filmul care a spulberat toate recordurile de incasari si a facut din Harrison Ford un nume important. Dupa aceea a jucat in Hanover Street (1978) si in filmul The Frisco Kid (1979), si a avut roluri de camee in Apocalypse Now (1979) si in More American Graffiti (1979), inainte de a fi distribuit de catre regizorul Steven Speilberg in rolul intreprinzatorului aventurier Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981). Filmul adevenit un alt film cu cele mai mari castiguri de-a lungul tutror timpurilor.

Intre filmele Star Wars, episoadele The Empire Strikes Back (19809 si The Return of the Jedi (1983), si episoadele din filmul Raiders, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) si Indiana Jones and the Last CrusadeI (1989), Harrison Ford a jucat intr-un numae de filme de neuitat. In filmul Blade Runner (1982), el a interpretat cu maiestrie rolul unui politist in viitorul nihilist al orasului Los Angeles. El a fost aclamat de catre critici si a primit o nominalizare pentru Premiul Oscar pentru rolul de politist, care se ascunde in tara Amish, in filmul Witness (1985). Dupa aceea Ford a continuat cu o interpretare indrazneata a excentricului inventator idealistic din filmul The Mosquito Coast (1986). A continuat sa joace in rolul unui protagonist de natura hitchcockiana in filmul Frantic (1988) inainte de a-si arata flerul pentru comedii romantice in filmul Working Girl (1988).

El a interpretat rolul unui avocat acuzat de crima in filmul Presumed Innocent (1990), a interpretat rolul unui yuppie arogant transformat de de glontul unui pungas in filmul Regarding Henry (1991), a interpretat rolul unui fost agent erou CIA Jack Ryan in Patrio Games (1992) si Clear and Present Danger (1994), a interpretat rolul unui doctor pe nederept acuzat de uciderea sotiei sale in filmul The Fugitive (1999), a interpretat rolul unui politist foarte devotat din New York City in filmul The Devil’s Own (1997), a interpretat rolul Presedintelui James Marshall in filmul Air Force One (1997). De asemenea a jucat in reproducerea filmului Sabrina (1995) in rolul original interpretat de Humphrey Bogart.

Cele mai recente aparitii ale lui Ford in filme includ comedia actiune romantica Six Days, Seven Nights (1998), drama romantica Random Hearts (1999) si thriller-ul What Lies Beneath (2000). In anul 2002 a fost lansat filmul sau, K-19, o drama regizata de Kathryn Bigelow, in care joaca de asemena si Liam Neesom. In luna iunie a anului 2003 a fost lansat filmul Hollywood Homicide, care a fost regizat de Ron Shelton si in care a jucat alaturi de Ford, Josh Hartnett.

Foarte devotat problemelor mediului inconjurator, Harrison Ford este activ implicat intr-un numar de grupuri conservationiste. El face parte din Consiliul Director al Conservation International. In Jackson, Wyoming el a donat 389 de acri de pamant din proprietatea sa pentru un ajutor conservationist pentru Jackson Hole Land Trust.

Cele mai recente premii ale sale sunt: Premiul Heart of the City de la Asociatia City Harverst pentru lupta impotriva foametei, NRDC-Forces for Nature, Lindbergh Foundation pentru echilibrul dintre tehnologie si mediul inconjurator, Premiul Distinguished Humanitarian Award de la B’nai B’rith de asemenea pentru munca pentru mediul inconjurator, Premiul World Stunts Awards, Premiul Pentru Intreaga Activitate de la Laguna Playhouse, si in data de 30 mai 2003 el a primit o stea pe Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Doar o singura nominalizare la Oscar??? [in 1986 pentru cel mai bun actor in rolul principal din Witness (1985)] Si mai sustin americanii, sus si tare, ca nu fac discriminari!!

De-a lungul timpului am urmarit filmele in care a jucaT H.Ford si pot spune ca in toate el a avut o aparitie speciala,nici un rol nu a fost jucat la voia intamplarii,totul a fost interpretat cu sarm si eleganta.Un film in care joaca Ford este intotdeauna unul pe care il urmaresti cu placere de cap la coada fiindca in toate se regaseste combinatia dintre calitatile lui actoricesti deosebite ,scenariu si regie de exceptie.

alt indiana jones n-ar mai putea fi realizat deoarece pt a fi realizat altul mai trebuie ani si varsta l-ar cam impiedica sa joace(desi si acum e in varsta cand a jucat in ultimul),iar indiana jones n-ar mai avea nici un farmec fara el.poate gresesc.oricum,e bun.imi place in star wars cum se contrazice la incepur cu printesa leia.

Este un actor foarte bun. Cel mai mult mi-a placut in "Star Wars". Rolul l-a prins foarte bine film. Atat am e zis.

Un actor asa de mare si nici un premiu?? Las' ca s-a intamplat si altora, si daca traieste suficient poate ia un Oscar pentru intreaga activitate. Si in definitiv, il consoleaza ea, Calista.

MA MIR CA NIMENI NU A SCRIS INAINTEA MEA DESPRE UNUL DINTRE CEI MAI BUNI ACTORI DIN ZILELE NOASTRE!

pai cariera lui foarte bogata se intinde de la memorabilele roluri din star wars pina la filme cu subiecte foarte serioase, cum sunt cele din seria Jack Ryan, trecind, de ce nu si prin comedii precum sabrina (eu personal prefer varianta holden-hepburn-bogart, dar poate ca sunt cam demodat si subiectiv in ceea ce il priveste pe BOGEY).

sa incepem cu inceputul: nu stiu altii cum sunt, dar eu cind ma gindesc cit de mult mi-au placut star wars si acum am sentimente care ma invaluiesc in nostalgie... poate si epoca aurita era de o asemenea natura, dar cind venea un film deosebit din Vest, erau unii oameni, ca mine, care il imbratisau si apoi acest film le intra in memoria pe termen lung.

le-am revazut si dupa revolutie si poate acum cu mai mult singe… citeşte

iata ca unul din actorii mei favoriti imi face odata cu cea de-a 60 aniversare a sa un cadou formidabil: un film care e bun de vazut pentru oameni prea linistiti: eu am reusit sa stau la el, dintr-o singura curiozitate: sa vad daca crapa vreunul din cei doi cretini. departe de mine gindul de a aduce in discutie legalitatea permiterii lui sa fie si agent imobiliar, pentru ca conflictul de interese este clar ca cristalul: ancheteaza pe niste degenerati si unuia ii da cartea de vizita: pai daca ala era suspect? e stupidissim filmul, iar urmarirea aia cu masina+pe jos+in canal este antologica ca tip de urmarire intr-un film politist: dar filmul nu este politist! dar nici comedie nu e! pentru ca mor aia ca mustele si nu de plictiseala, ci de glont sau de gravitatie. bottom line: ca film politist este tembel, din mtivele enuntate mai sus. ca comedie, este iar un esec, pentru ca subiectul e prea serios, desi cam tras de par: un porducator care-si ucide formatiile care vor sa se rupa de el... steluta aia singurica este pentru mine, ca am avut rabdare sa rezist atit la un film de cacao, lucru pe care am incercat sa-l sugerez si prin cacofonii. sunt sigur ca cel putin o persoana va jubila, pentru ca nu este de acord cu aprecierea mea vis-a-vis de HF. mare paKat: desi sunt actori buni, HF si JH dezamagesc profun si nu prin joc, ci prin faptul ca au acceptat sa joace intr-un film prea dur pentru a fi comedie si prea cretin pentru a fi serios.
