Acum vreo cateva zile taiam frunze la caini pe Youtube si nu stiu cum mi-am adus aminte ca The Terminal (scufundat de ani buni sub colburile memoriei) avea o muzica misto. Dupa ce am ascultat tema principala cateva secunde, am inchis-o subit fiindca aveam impresia ca incep sa lacrimez (si eu nu imi permit asa ceva

Alexandre Desplat - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

De prin 2005 acest compozitor francez incepe usor sa calce pe urmele legendarului John Williams, din punctul de vedere al talentului, compozitiilor, nu neaparat al succesului deocamdata; dar ii seamana la stil lui John, mai ales ca au in comun si orchestratorul Conrad Pope.

E un compozitor foarte flexibil, iar ultimul film din seria Harry Potter a reprezentat o adevarata provocare pentru el. I-a iesit o coloana sonora demna de un premiu Oscar. Mare pacat sa nu primeasca macar o nominalizare la anu', ca sa fie doar in cursa. Muzica lui a adus filmele HP la un nou nivel, contribuind cu o importanta pata de culoare la acest ultim film al unei francize fenomen.

Cum soundtrack nu inseamna doar o piesa, am sa prezint cat mai multe.

(*) Sunt teme de batalie, razboi. Imi plac chiar mai mult decat toate melodiile din Lord of the Rings ale lui Howard Shore, care erau inainte preferatele mele, cand vine vorba de muzica de razboi intr-o lume Fantasy. Aveti aici si un mic fragment din film ca demo pentru melodia Statues.
(**) in studio, la inregistrari cu London Symphony Orchestra.
(!) tema principala...dar mai buna ar fi fost vocea Enyei

pe fundal.
Pe langa premiul de cea mai buna muzica originala la Oscar, ar trebui sa existe si premiul pentru cea mai epica coloana sonora, ca sa aiba HP sanse mai mari sa castige

Aseara am vazut 'The Boat that Rocked'. Un soundtrack superb cu melodii mai mult sau mai putin cunoscute, dar numai pentru cei ce iubesc rock'n'roll-ul ala oldies, but goldies. Recomand!
