Biografie

Anthony Minghella (6 Ianuarie 1954 - 18 Martie 2008) a fost un regizor si scenarist britanic, castigator al premiului Oscar penru regia filmului The English Patient (Pacientul Englez). Intre anii 2003 - 2007 a ocupat functia de presedinte al Institutului Britanic de Film.

Minghella s-a nascut in Insula Wright, in orasul Ryde,fiind fiul Gloriei si al lui Edward Minghella, proprietari ai unei fabrici de inghetata. Tatal sau era italian-scotian, iar mama sa era originara din orasul Leeds, situat...

Anthony Minghella - un regizor foarte bun... pacat ca a murit, a lasat in urma lui filme exceptionale, capodopere ale cinematografiei...Dumnezeu sa il ierte.

Ca a murit asa de tanar, avea potential si talent sa faca inca multe filme, dar a iesit altfel.

Pentru The English Patient si The talented Mister Ripley, merita o nota mare. A murit mult prea devreme, putea sa mai faca multe filme mari.
