Actorul american George Peabody Macready Jr. s-a nascut la data de 29 august 1899 in Providence, Rhode Island, SUA. Dupa ce a absolvit Liceul Classical, in 1921, a mers la Universitatea Brown, unde a fost membu al fratiei Delta Phi, dar si managerul echipei de fotbal. In timpul universitatii, acesta a avut un groaznic accident de masina, ramanand toata viata cu o cicatrice pe obraz care a oferit, alaturi de sprancenele ridicate si de dictia perfecta, numeroase personaje extraordinare in rolurile...
