Chiar dacă Globurile de Aur sunt controversate din cauza acuzaţiilor de corupţie (şi cecitate socială) aduse membrilor Organizaţiei Presei Străine de la Hollywood, ele sunt şi premii populare printre starurile şi studiourile americane, prin urmare fiecare nouă ediţie este aşteptată cu entuziasm. În cursul nopţii au fost anunţate filmele şi serialele nominalizate la ediţia din 2026.
Cel mai nominalizat film american este One Battle After Another, care a primit atâtea distincţii în ultimele luni, încât publicaţiile de specialitate de la Hollywood nici nu-i mai publică titlul întreg, ci acronimul OBAA. OBAA a primit nouă nominalizări la această ediţie a Globurilor, fiind urmat de filmul norvegian Sentimental Value, cu opt nominalizări, şi Sinners, inedită combinaţie de horror, muzical şi comentariu social, cu şapte. Toate aceste trei filme au putut fi văzute şi în cinematografele noastre.
Globurile de Aur uimesc în fiecare an cu cel puţin un derapaj de logică, iar anul acesta surpriza a venit de la Sinners, care nu a fost nominalizat la categoria Cea mai bună comedie/Cel mai bun muzical, ci la Cea mai bună dramă, horror-ul cu vampiri fiind un muzical în toată puterea cuvântului. O surpriză a fost şi nominalizarea Arianei Grande la rol secundar pentru Wicked: For Good, deşi rolul ei e principal, dar şi nominalizarea dramaticului serial The Bear la comedie.
În ce priveşte serialele, cele mai nominalizate sunt The White Lotus şi Adolescence, cu şase, respectiv cinci nominalizări. Atât Only Murders in the Building, cât şi superhitul Apple TV+ Severance au primit patru nominalizări. Cel mai nou serial nominalizat este Pluribus, pe care noi l-am etichetat drept "serialul cu cea mai interesantă premisă din 2025".
În ceea ce priveşte megacorporaţiile din piaţa media globală, Netflix conduce cu 35 de nominalizări, iar Warner Bros. şi HBO, cu 31 de nominalizări. Reamintim că zilele trecute platforma de streaming a oferit nu mai puţin de 83 de miliarde de dolari pentru a cumpăra gigantul Warner.
