The Prizefighter and the Lady/Every Woman's Man

Sinopsis

Steve este barman, fost marinar, cand il intalneste pe Edwin J. Bennett, cunoscut ca "profesorul" antrenor de box. "Profesorul" se convinge că Steve are ceea ce trebuie pentru a fi un boxeur de succes și il sub aripa sa.

Intr-o zi in timp ce Steve facea jogging el este aproape ucis de o masina in care se afla Belle Mercer, o renumita cantareata de cabaret. Belle era prietena interlopului Willie Ryan. Steve o cucereste pe Belle si cei doi se casatoresc. Casatoria cu Belle se dovedeste a fi de bun augur pentru Steve si curand el aduna un numar impresionant de victoriii la box. Dar Steve nu isi poate lua ochii de la femei si Belle crede ca ii e necredincios. Belle, dezamagita se intoarce la Willie, in timp ce Steve se apuca de baut dupa ce pierde un meci important din campionatul de box.
