20.09.2017 Succesul lui Suicide Squad – dar mai ales interpretarea şi şarmul lui Margot Robbie – i-au făcut pe producătorii filmelor DC Comics să abordeze cu mari speranţe poveşti conexe ale personajelor trăsnitei echipe. Povestea de dragoste dintre Harley Quinn şi Joker (intitulată Harley Quinn Vs. The Joker) i-a primit recent ca regizori şi scenarişti pe Glenn Ficarra şi John Requa. Robbie, care a lucrat alături de aceştia la două pelicule (Focus şi Whiskey Tango Foxtrot), s-a declarat încântată de alegere şi a ţinut să spună, într-un interviu acordat ComingSoon.net (de promovare a noului său film, biopicul Goodbye Christopher Robin): „Sunt grozavi!
