Jack Benny, pe numele adevărat Benjamin Kubelsky, a fost un actor de comedie, care a trăit din 14.02.1894 până în 26.12.1974. S-a născut în Waukegan, IL, și a murit, de cancer la stomac, în California. A avut o carieră de 65 de ani. A fost remarcabil în industria divertismentului. A debutat la radio în 1932, apoi la televiziune. A activat 27 de ani la radio și 14 ani la TV. Pentru rolul din seria comică de televiziune "The Jack Benny Show" a câștigat un premiu Emmy, în1959. Un actor urias pe care am avut placerea sa il urmaresc in multe filme de comedie extrem de reusite, a reusit roluri foarte profunde de fiecare data, iar umorul, pe masura talentului sau!
