14.07.2009 Salma Hayek şi Javier Bardem vor face parte din distribuţie filmului Seven Friends of Pancho Villa and the Woman with Six Fingers. Pelicula va prezenta vieţa celebrului revoluţionar mexican şi va fi regizată de Emir Kusturica, conform Allocine.fr. Kusturica spune că a început deja lucrul la proiect. Filmul va reprezenta prima colaborare dintre Salma Hayek şi Javier Bardem.Pelicula va fi o adaptare a romanului scris de James Carlos Blake, The Friends of Pancho Villa. Personajul a mai fost jucat, de-a lungul vremii, de către Raoul Walsh (în prima portretizare pe marele ecran a poveştii - The Life of General Villa, 1914), de Telly Savalas (în Pancho Villa!), de către Alan Reed (în Viva Zapata) şi de Antonio Banderas (în filmul de televiziune And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself)....
