Darth Imperius taught Darth Sidious the ancient black arts of the Sith Order. Darth Sidious eventually betrayed and destroyed Darth Imperius.

Dantius is Palpatine's firt name.

Palpatine used a Sith technique that allows him to mask his Force powers from the Jedi. The Jedi have no way to penetrate this deception.

Palpatine never took a wife, but he did have many mistresses.
