ieri am fost alaturi de televiziunile care transmiteau imagini din cele 10 orase unde se desfasurau concertele Live 8. doream sa intru in atmosfera pentru Pink Floyd.

i-am vazut pe postul maghiar m2 fiindca se auzea bine si macar nu intelegeam ce comentau vocile din off... ca baietii de pe klumea erau chiar depasiti de eveniment... si, pe deasupra, nu erau mesaje, dedicatii si numere de telefoan pe ecran!! putin respect, ce dracu!

desi varsta nu mai e cea pe care si-ar dori-o, poate, oamenii astia inca stiu sa cante... oricat s-ar chinui Waters cu chitaristii lui (sau floydu fara Roger) lucrurile nu se leaga. dupa ce am vazut piesele de vreo patru ori m-am tot gandit ca dincolo de orice alte conjuncturi, ceea ce conteaza la o muzica este felul in care o simte cel care o canta. si oricat ar vrea unii fara altii (si asta acum ceva ani cand erau mai tineri) instrumentele lor suna bine atunci cand suna impreuna. fiindca fiecare isi simte bucatile de interpretat asa cum e nevoie. asadar mult feeling si bucurie!

Waters era sincer bucuros (a si afirmat asta la inceputul lui Wish you are here) si, dupa cate au prins camerele, nu s-au dat in laturi de la a-si zambi unii altora. chiar daca a fost cam rigid Gilmour la inceput, catre final s-a topit usor pe acordurile/notele pieselor. dincolo de orice alte aspecte, un deosebit final de cariera... desi, poate, se vor arunca in studio sa scoata un material in care sa-si aseze toata intelepciunea muzicala (asa cum faceau scriitori rusi acu doua secole in domeniul romanului realist

No dub this time, closer to Peace Orchestra and K&D, still kicking in to great effect.

Wagon Christ -- Sorry I Make You Lush (2004)
A trifle more production-oriented than other Luke Vibert experiments (yet not a genre holiday, as amg.com deftly puts it), it shows some resemblance with '70's low budget sci fi ost's to fully satisfy my aural needs. However, is it just me or at times Luke Vibert is really playing DJ Shadow? Just asking.
Favorite track Qadra y discos.

Finally, Lisa Gerrard (oh, beibiiiiiiiiiiiiiii) & Patrick Cassidy - Immortal Memory (2004). Back in the days I would fanatically listen to DCD, no one else knew about them, but now every one knows - or should know - she helped scoring The Gladiator, The Insider, Whale Raider, Hijo de la Luna, and etc; the Song of Amergin the album's somewhat and funereal opening track is also on King Arthur, so on and so forth. As a whole, the album sounds a little plain, without reaching the trance-like qualities of such unearthly masterpieces as Aion (I'm referring to this album because of the same faux medieval cum celtic thematic influence). Lisa delivers (Maranatha/Come Lord) yet she puts in no despair and that's why I feel somewhat cheated. There is no Summoning of the Muse, my friends. Just some film score without the film. I fucking love her, though. Love eternal, Lisa babe.

Telepopmusik - Angel Milk (2005); their best release as of today. Sort of mancunian-spirit possessed (Last Train to Wherever), Angel Milk features a broad range of warm sounding electronica. Good thing to say they sort of got rid of those popish influences. To be mixed with a decent share of Diplo's Florida.
