Sebastian Stan, actorul născut în România şi de două ori nominalizat la această ediţie a Globurilor de Aur, câştigă trofeul pentru Cel mai bun actor dintr-o comedie sau muzical pentru filmul A Different Man, în care interpretează un bărbat desfigurat. Reamintim că acelaşi rol i-a adus lui Stan Ursul de Argint pentru Cel mai bun actor la ediţia de anul trecut a festivalului de la Berlin. "România, te iubesc!", aşa şi-a încheiat actorul, în limba română, discursul de aseară, pe scena galei.
The Brutalist şi Emilia Pérez domină principalele categorii cinematografice câştigând trofeele pentru Cel mai bun film (dramă) şi Cel mai bun film (comedie sau muzical). Cel mai premiat film al galei a fost Emilia Pérez, care a mai câştigat trofeele pentru Cel mai bun film străin, Cea mai bună actriţă în rol secundar (Zoe Saldaña) şi Cel mai bun cântec. Adrien Brody a fost premiat pentru rolul principal din The Brutalist, iar regizorul acestei drame istorice cu o durată de peste trei ore, Brady Corbet, a primit trofeul pentru Cea mai bună regie.
La categoriile rezervate serialelor, Shogun domină cu patru trofee câştigate, unul pentru Cel mai bun serial (dramă) şi trei trofee de interpretare pentru actorii Anna Sawai, Hiroyuki Sanada şi Tadanobu Asano. Ca şi la premiile Emmy, Hacks i-a luat faţa lui The Bear, câştigând trofeul pentru Cel mai bun serial (comedie sau muzical).
