It is not the job of artists to give audience what the audience want. If the audience knew what they needed, then they would not be the audience. They would be the artists. It is the job of artists to give the audience what they need.

Cind auziti un artist ca vorbeste despre ratiunile si obiectivele muncii lui, luati-va picioarele de-a spinarea si nu va mai uitati inapoi. Singura arta pe care merita sa-ti pierzi timpul e aia care a venit pe lume din pura instinctualitate. Cind artistul creeaza fiindca pur si simplu ii vine sa creeze, nu ca a facut nise calcule si urmareste niste rezultate. Vointa umana e buna de aruncat la porci. Cea mai buna arta e aia cind autorul habar nu are ce face, cind isi subordoneaza vointa inconstientului.
