În general, nu-mi place să dau citate, dar văd că mă provoci. După părerea ta, Breathless nu e un film modernist. OK; atunci să fii sănătoasă. În concepția mea, când iei o tehnică (impropriu spus tehnică)
interzisă în cinemaul classic american (
jump cuts) și o transformi într-o inovație, în ceva nemaivăzut până atunci, ei bine, aia este una din dovezile clare ale modernismului.
