Star Wars stunt co-ordinator speaks

Yes, it’s yet another story about the Star Wars: Episode III fight scenes. But since we don’t know much about the plot details yet – even the title for this instalment has not yet been released – we have to keep giving you what we have. Besides, after all the excitement for The Return of the King and Matrix Revolutions, there’s only one trilogy left that gets the blood pumping, and that’s Star Wars.

After a mixed bag of prequels, George Lucas has one more chance to win back the fans and wow us all over again – and according to his stunt co-ordinator, Nick Gillard, he’s set to do just that.

"It's going to be the best prequel. I can't see how it won't be," said Gillard, speaking to Dreamwatch magazine. "Episode III has got everything the other films had and more! The movie is 60 to 70 per cent fighting. There's tons of fighting in this one."

"Episode III also ties in beautifully with all the other movies. And when I read the script, I was really surprised by how emotional it is. Everyone working on the film took so much care with it," he said. "Nobody wants to get it wrong."

All of which is encouraging news for fans, who fear that this will be the trilogy’s Return of the Jedi instead of its Return of the King. The release of the original trilogy on DVD this September should keep enthusiasm ticking over until next May

Stunt coordinator Nick Gillard: "In the next film, Ewan has more than 1,000 moves, which are more complicated to learn than dialogue. The climactic fight scene is, at 12 minutes, the longest fight scene in cinema history."

Ewan McGregor: " I don't think there's anything left unsolved and there's a huge but enormous fight at the end of it Enormous, I've never been more exhausted in my life. We spent weeks and weeks shooting this fight!"

Episode 1 pe cd??. Da il am pe doua daca asta intrebi. Io unu nu le am dvd, bine acum miam luat dar cum am mai zis merg si pe cd :D

Gaandalf, mi-am amintit parca promiteai ceva despre episode 7 :D. Io unu nu ma declar mare fan al star wars, adica nu stiu filmul pe de rost, bine daca il mai dau alte posturi nu ma deranjeaza sal mai vad odata. Imi amintesc ca prima data lam vazut pe rtl sau pro 7, parca rtl si ma uitam ca prostul pt. ca nu intelegeam nimic. Dar oricum astept cu mare interes povestea la episode 7 :evil:
