This is a poor attempt... not to TRANSLATE the joke with the Hungarian Playwright (since that one is untranslatable), but to transpose it into a form vaguely intelligible for international readers also. To restore the fun, everyone should adapt it their own national specific. Myself, I opted for the spanglish version, since I can imitate well enough the Mexicans' way of speaking English. But, for certain, Yankees could chose a Southerner, and the Dutchies would feel rather to make the playwright a Vallon Belgian speaking bad Flemish; the Spaniards would go for a Catalan, perhaps, while the British might refer to a Scot, an Irishman or a Welsh... The sky is the limit - or rather, the linguistic boundaries of Earth.
So, here we go:

A Mexican comes to a theater executive in Los Angeles:
