In addition to the 19 awards that were up for grabs, special awards were also handed out that evening. Bruce Lee was named Chinese Film’s Bright Star of the Century in conjunction with the first 100 years of Chinese filmmaking. His daughter Shannon Lee accepted the award from Golden Harvest chairman and Lee’s former producer, Raymond Chow.
