Heads were almost certainly pounding on Tuesday morning in New Zealand as the cast and crew of Return of the King - as well as half the population of Wellington - came down from the party of the millennium.

Monday's world premiere of the final film in the trilogy caused revelry the likes of which New Zealand may never see again with rumours that Orlando, Liv, Viggo and the gang rolled home at 7am after partying hard all through the night. One Empire Online reader who partook in the festivities wrote in to tell us that: "There were loads of private parties going all night. I don’t think Wellington will ever see anything like that again, was really a once in a lifetime thing, the atmosphere was awesome."
