Make Your Own Lord of the Rings Movie! And win a prize at the Fellowship Festival We all know that Middle Earth looks a lot like New Zealand. But we mustn't forget that, despite these upstart antipodeans, Tolkien's creation has always been in England. Just to prove it, from 28 to 30 August the Alexandra Palace will become a veritable mini-Middle Earth for the Fellowship Festival, allowing you to indulge in your love of all things hobbit related. You can attend long-awaited parties with cast and crew members, buy precioussss memorabilia, get stuff signed and generally gorge yourself on Ringlore. But wait! There's more! You also have the chance to follow in the footsteps of the great man some call Peter Jackson. By producing your own short film (under two minutes) parodying a scene in the world-conquering trilogy, you can win fame and fortune – well, the acclamation of all assembled at the Festival and a rather special Fellowship prize, presented by one of the geniuses behind the film. The climax of the Fellowship Festival will come with the screening of the shortlisted entries and winners of the film competition, which will be judged by a panel of luminaries including some from this very publication. How to win: Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is much easier than Frodo's trek across half a world to bin some troublesome jewellery. You must produce a film lasting under two minutes on DVD or VHS parodying a scene from Jackson's trilogy without using footage from the films themselves. As a condition of entry winners will have to be present at the Fellowship Festival, at least on the last day when the prizes will be presented. EEEE cum sa nu te oftici ... kakam-ash! :x |

Alexandra Palace e in Londra.

More From Middle-Earth ROTK Extended Edition new scenes revealed Peter Jackson couldn’t make it himself (he’s off somewhere building a giant monkey), but the jolly auteur sent Billy Boyd and David Wenham along to Comic-Con in his place to unveil something rather special. After announcing that nearly 50 minutes of new footage has been incorporated into The Return of the King: Extended Edition, the LOTR contingent treated the crowd to a four-minute preview. Needless to say, it was the equivalent of an Ent-filled dream come true for the Hobbit fanatics in attendance. One of the most highly anticipated new scenes features the return of Christopher Lee’s Saruman. The actor was visibly peeved at being cut from the theatrical cut, but should soon be appeased, as the restored confrontation at Isengard looks like it could be a trilogy highlight. Not least because Gandalf and Saruman exchange insults as only wizards can — with bloody huge balls of flame. Elsewhere, there’s more business with the Palantir, hideous über-minion The Mouth of Sauron making an appearance in front of the Black Gate, Gandalf coming face-to-face with the Witch King (a moment that appeared in the theatrical trailer but not the film) and Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli being assailed by an avalanche of skulls within the Paths of the Dead. But the focus isn’t purely on the action. He may have added hundreds of SFX shots to the movie, but the preview suggests that Jackson is equally concerned with deepening the characters. One new scene sees Faramir and Eowyn begin to fall in love within the Houses of Healing, while another takes in a touching moment between Pippin and Faramir as the pair dress for battle. However, rumours that the director has tacked a celebratory sing-a-long onto the end of the movie — with Boromir and Theoden looking on in ghostly form — are probably untrue. Weighing in at a frankly gargantuan 250 minutes (approx.), the Extended cut is due out in late November, accompanied by the usual commentaries and exhaustive extras. Io' deja am luat-o la valeee. |

Nu l-a observat nimeni pe Andy Serkis in 13 going on 30 ? Se vede clar ca se abtzine sa nu face precum Gollum - which is soo funny. Am mai observat de asemenea ca danseaza al dracului de bine THRILLER in film. He's got the moves.
